Connect Canvas Desktop

Shopify owns store login

Canvas Desktop does not take a Shopify email or password. Open the Canvas app inside Shopify Admin so the store can issue a one-time device code.

How to connect

  1. Open Shopify Admin for the store you want to ship to.
  2. Open Apps → Canvas (the embedded Admin app, not this public page alone).
  3. Choose Connect Desktop on Home, Media, or Plan.
  4. Approve the canvas:// deep link, or paste the one-time code in Desktop → Your store.

Codes expire in a few minutes. Each person uses their own staff login and their own computer. Drafts stay local until Review & publish.

What you should not do

  • Do not expect /app in a normal browser window to log Desktop in — that path is for the embedded Admin app only.
  • Do not paste Shopify Admin API tokens into Desktop project files.
